Bangladesh defeated India by 59 runs in the final of the U-19 Asia Cup.
In Dubai on Sunday, India Under-19 team captain Muhammad Aman won the toss and decided to bowl first, which proved to be quite correct, and the entire Bangladesh team was bowled out for 198 runs in the 50th over.
On behalf of Bangladesh, Razan Hussain scored 47 runs, Mohammad Shahab James scored 40 runs, and Fareed Hassan scored 39 runs. For India, Yudhajit Guha took two wickets, while Chetan Sharma and Hardik Raj also took two wickets each.
Chasing 199 runs, India got off to a disappointing start, and their openers returned to the pavilion without doing anything special. Mohammad Aman and a few other batsmen tried to stay on the wicket and score but could not get a run in front of the Bangladeshi bowlers.
India got out one by one, and the entire Indian team was bowled out for 139 runs in the 36th over.
Mohammad Aman scored the highest 26 runs on behalf of India, while Iqbal Hussain and Aziz Al Hakam on behalf of Bangladesh took three wickets each while bowling well.
Bangladesh’s Iqbal Hussain was also named Player of the Match and Player of the Series.
It should be remembered that Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the first semi-final and reached the final, while India also reached the final by defeating Sri Lanka by seven wickets.
