Islamabad: (Dunya News) Inflation rates have further declined this week, bringing the country’s annual inflation growth rate down to 0.44%.

According to the Statistics Bureau’s report, in one week, the prices of 9 items increased, 16 items became cheaper, and 26 items remained stable.

The report states that within a week, the price of sugar per kilogram increased by 4.93 rupees, pushing its price beyond 150 rupees per kg. The price rose from 145.50 rupees to 150.43 rupees per kg.

During the recent week:

  • Bananas became 5.89 rupees per dozen more expensive
  • Chicken increased by 4.09 rupees per kg, rising from 440.59 rupees to 444.68 rupees per kg
  • Rice, cooking oil, Dalda ghee, and beef were also among the items that saw a price increase

On the other hand, the report highlights a decline in the prices of:

  • Tomatoes by 13.94 rupees per kg
  • Onions by 13.43 rupees per kg
  • Potatoes by 6.08 rupees per kg
  • Eggs by 13.02 rupees per dozen

Additionally, the price of chickpea lentils (Dal Chana) decreased by 13.18 rupees per kg, while an LPG domestic cylinder became 6.09 rupees cheaper. Other items that saw price reductions include Dal Mash, flour, firewood, and Dal Masoor.

Meanwhile, mutton, fresh milk, yogurt, bread, and 26 other items remained stable in price.
